PEP and PrEP

PEP and PrEP are medications used to prevent HIV. Our doctors are experienced in prescribing both and can talk you through which option is right for your situation.

PEP — Post-Exposure Prophylaxis

PEP is taken after a possible exposure to HIV. To be effective, it needs to be started within 72 hours of exposure — the sooner the better.

PrEP — Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis

PrEP is taken before potential exposure to HIV by people who may be at higher risk. It is taken as an ongoing daily medication and is highly effective when taken as prescribed.

Confidential and judgement-free

Conversations about PEP and PrEP are confidential. Our doctors provide a respectful, non-judgmental space to discuss your sexual health and the options available to you.

If you think you may need PEP, please contact us as soon as possible.
